IJssel Line today
In 1996, the IJssel Landscape Foundation became the owner of the complex of bunkers through purchase from the national government. In December 2003, the IJssel Landscape Foundation transferred the administration of the bunkers to the IJssel Line Foundation,. The IJssel Line Foundation is an organization devoted to maintaining and operating the complex as a military history tourist attraction and to make available the IJssel Line as a subject for study as well as an opportunity for teaching and education projects for school children. The hospital and command bunkers are restored, as are several gun emplacements in the outlying area. These are available to the public to visit. In November 2005,
the water intake works in the dike at Olst were opened and can also be visited.
