The 40 millimeter (Bofors)
anti-tank canon
The
canon had an effective range of 4000 meters and
could also be used with fragmentation shells for
ground targets. The type of projectile used until
1958 was type 40L60; thereafter type 40L70 (longer
range, radar-controlled and faster firing
capacity).
The firing capacity was 240 rounds per minute.
